- During the cherry blossom viewing season, it is pleasant to get together with good friends, prepare something to eat and drink, and enjoy an outing in the early evening at a park or on a riverbank, viewing the cherry blossoms.

- When it becomes spring and the water gets warm, it is fun to digging for clams at the seashore. There are some areas that charge for digging for clams. Charges run from 800 yen - 1,000 yen for up to 2 kilograms of clams.

- In the summer in Japan, fireworks exhibitions are held in many different areas. Local governments sponsor some of these events. Ask your local government office for information.

- When it turns fall, things taste better. While viewing the red foliage, it is fun to enjoy some delicious tastes and take in the beauty of fall in Japan. In Japan, the there are one-day bus tours that visit such areas as Tochigi, Yamanashi and Shizuoka.
