- When a new motor vehicle is first registered for the first time, the Land Transportation Office or the Inspection and Registration Office issue a Vehicle Inspection Certificate.
- The Vehicle Inspection Certificate must be carried in the car at all times.
- The Vehicle Inspection Certificate has the same function as a deed for property or a building.
On it is recorded changes in ownership, changes in address, changes in the period of the Certificate validity and the date when the car is scrapped. Each time the vehicle is re-inspected or re-registered, the Vehicle Inspection Certificate must be presented. Be careful in storing the Vehicle Inspection Certificate properly.
